Meet the Board

The PAMA board is comprised of Ayurvedic health counselors and practitioners located in Pennsylvania. The board is dedicated to educating the community-at-large about Ayurveda.

    FOUNDER

    PAMA began with the urging of NAMA, the National Ayurvedic Medical Assoc, to organize a group to promote Ayurveda and it’s practitioners and health counselors in PA. The group is open to all who seek to strengthen the Ayurvedic profession in PA, including all current and retired Ayurvedic professionals, students, allied health professionals with an Ayurvedic education, Ayurvedic businesses, and others who seek to strengthen the Ayurvedic profession in PA. Your input and support will help in strengthening the Ayurvedic Community in PA with the ultimate goal of working toward a PA HEALTH FREEDOM ACT.

  • Ed Zadlo

    HONORARY BOARD MEMBER

    Ed Zadlo AD, D.Ay, ERYT-500 (Acharya Premanand) is a Certified Ayurveda Practitioner, Integral Yoga-Ayurveda Therapist and Acharya of Yoga/Vedanta, Ayurveda and Vedic Dharma.

    He has had an Ayurveda practice for over 20 years, and has offered trainings in Ayurveda, Meditation and the Inner Practices of Yoga for over 30 years.

    He began his study of Ayurvedic Healing with Dr. David Frawley (Pundit Vamadeva Shastri) director of The American Institute of Vedic Studies in 1986, is also a graduate of their Ayurvedic Intensive Training, Yoga and Ayurveda Advanced Course and IYTA Teacher Training and was certified by Dr. Frawley in 2008 as an Ayurveda Yoga Acharya with 1200 hours of advanced Integral Yoga/Ayurveda study.

    He graduated from The New England Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine in 1996 where he also became a faculty member. He completed advanced clinical study at the Rishikesh College of Ayurveda in Rishikesh, India in 2000 and 2001. He is a professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association with status as an Ayurvedic Doctor (AD).

    Ed Zadlo was ordained to teach in the Yogananda Kriya Yoga tradition in 1980. He lives near Sumneytown PA where he has a full time integral Ayurveda Yoga Practice.

    Lexa Chernin is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist, Sanskrit teacher, and co-owner of Yoga Secrets in Kennett Square, PA.

    Having been trained in a broad spectrum of Vedic teachings, Lexa brings an extensive understanding of all the practices that she shares. She weaves together the wisdom of Yoga, Ayurveda, Vedanta and Tantra to offer her clients and students a complete and multi-layered experience.

    Lisa Scarborough is a Nama Board Certified Ayurveda Health Counselor, currently studying for certification as an Ayurveda practitioner. She offers one-on-one counseling through a national Ayurveda wellness company and has enjoyed witnessing hundreds of people transform their lives through the wisdom of Ayurveda.

    Blending more than 35 years of experience in the health and beauty industry with a deep passion for the healing science of Ayurveda, Lisa finds joy in helping others to develop a personal wellness plan using individual consultation, Ayurvedic body therapies and private yoga sessions. Lisa believes that beauty is revealed when one aligns her true self with the wisdom of Mother Nature.

    Through Vedic wisdom, in the spirit of cleansing, purification and nourishment, Lisa offers the most loving support in your quest for healthy and thoughtful living.
