Patricia Gradler
Ayurvedic Health Counseler
1905 West 25th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16502 814-440-0653 ERYT-500 Yoga Alliance, YACEP
I began teaching yoga in 2004, with now over 5,000 teaching hours. My certification is ERYT-500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) with 500+ hours of training. My YACEP certification allows me to teach and certify prospective teachers. Additionally, I have completed various other training programs.
My Ayurvedic Health Counselor certification is through The Himalayan Institute and is recognized through the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA). I offer private Ayurvedic consultations and workshops in this area.
I started a chair yoga program through the National MS Society in 2005.
What got me interested in yoga was the wisdom and philosophy, the physical practice came years later. My favorite yoga pose varies, but I really enjoy standing poses and my favorite equipment is a sandbag. (The sandbag is a prop laid on the abdomen and is a reminder to breathe using the diaphragm) I have a daily routine and I motivate myself to stay fit and healthy by realizing I don't want my children to have to take care of me because I didn't take care of myself when I could. My best tip for staying healthy is to eat fresh, local food in season whenever possible and my secret method is to always pause and take a deep breath.
